  4. Most Challenging Character

Enspoilered because of length and actual spoilers!

    Spoiler
I think that the most challenging character will be Ethan. He's supposedly going to be very 'wise', or at least try to stop Anthon from rebelling or something. But I've never managed to make that sort of character, and I don't really know how I'll make him seem wise! I'm also not sure about how much to include him in the story. I know I want him there for the beggining, but at some point Anthon should leave and I'm not sure what to do with him. I want him there at the end, too, to give a feeling of homelyness. But maybe instead of that, since I want him to be, sort of, the wise old mentor (but not too much!) I could kill him off and have Anthon feel guilty of that for some reason. Or he could just be a normal, side-character grumpy old neighbour. I'm definitly going to be thinking about that, maybe writing down some pros and cons and things like that, researching how wise old mentors are shown in my favorite books (Harry Potter, the School for Good and Evil, Keeper of the Lost Cities, Uglies Pretties Specials Extras...) and thinking about how his interactions with other characters might make him more one or more the other/how other character's interactions with him would make it better for him to be more one or more the other.

  6. I got the vague idea (what's in the Elevator Pitch) for this story one or two weeks ago, but I couldn't gather up the courage to start it. When I learned about NovMo and PlanMo, I thought it'd be the perfect thing to try =D

  13. Spoiler
You did click on the spoiler, huh? It really is just a chaotic summary though.
Sooo... Anthon lives in a peaceful world protected by Knights where rebellion doesn't exsist.
Anthon's childhood best friend is Rye. When they were small, Anthon had an idea for something "completely new": rebellion! NOT doing what the Knights said... NOT doing peace... going AGAINST the Knights... just like misbehaving, but very big! He and Rye spend most of their childhood plotting their big rebellion and thinking themselves so smart.
During his late teen years (starting: [FILL IN]) Anthon sees very little of Rye, as Rye has left to study [FILL IN] in Fairenford. When Anthon is 19 and Rye is [FILL IN], Rye comes back and Anthon is very excited for the rebellion. He heard that Rye will be there in the afternoon, and prepares everything to leave immediatly, even the note to his mother. But then he sees Rye arriving in Knight armour, and Rye actually enroled himself before leaving!!! :O So when Anthon speaks to Rye, Rye says he found better friends and that the Rebellion was nothing more than a "childhood delirium". So Anthon is extremely hurt, but still sets out to make his OWN rebellion.
Then Anthon becomes a "master mischiefmaker", never caught by the Knights, always making crazy plans and with a network of people devoted to his ideology that "peace is boring, adventure is better".
Then [FILL IN] and Anthon is in a place like our world with everyone actually doing violence and everything! He meets Ellender and Fingal, and they [FILL IN]. [FILL IN] Anthon is disgusted by violence. [FILL IN] Returned to his world, he [Becomes a Knight???] The end!

Don't click on the spoiler... It's just a weird chaotic incomplete "summary" where I spoil everything I've planned for my story...
