Out of a random flash of inspiration/seeing that this was going to be a contest, I wrote a villanelle a few days ago. It's not a pretty one (i.e. I need to edit it heavily), but can I submit it for this contest?
S'io credesse che mia risposta fosse
a persona che mai tornasse al mondo,
questa fiamma staria senza piu scosse.
Ma per ciò che giammai di questo fondo
non tornò vivo alcun, s'i' odo il vero,

We would prefer you post something original to the time this event has been made, however it isn't against the rules.

You can change your submission though, so maybe submit it and then change it if you write a new one.
