After a few months of hiding in the darkness, Carter slid the metal door off of the bakery and sat down to wait for patrons. The fire had set him back a bit in the progress of small business and while he probably wouldn't get his old staff back, as long as there was magic, who really help?

As the notifications drift in I stop and wonder. Why do they take so long? Do they have adventures we don't know about? I bet they do. When they come I will ask myself. What amazing adventure has this straggling notification been on? How far did it travel, and why didn't it take me?
