Inviting Interlude (Arc III- Aiden's melancholy)

I don't think you can make sense of what's going on here without my NaPo thread, without it feeling very unrewarding. The NaPo week thread, though mainly optional, still features some big insights that are only going to help. So,

NaPo thread- a necessary evil, to make sense of the story up until now
NaPo week thread- would recommend since it's arguably my best work, but not too significant plot wise

Gonna be writing it from different character povs to bridge the plot before implementing the next phase of the main plot I've got planned. Poems are good, but sometimes you need prose to elaborate better and reveal how your characters think. I hope to give this story a lot more gravity and justification this NovMo. I plan to advance the plot a little, so you might not want to skip this arc altogether if you mean to follow along. But I'm gonna be super busy with irl, so we'll see how it really goes..

Elevator Pitch
A college boy studying medicine mysteriously disappeared and everyone processes that loss and suspects each other for having a hand behind it. Unexpected secrets surface amidst the circumstances, that change everything forever. Despite appearances, everything was coming together. But something goes wrong, and the happy ending may have been pushed back further. Someone knows more than others, but they're all moving forwards with their lives. As if everything they've been working towards won't come falling down very soon..

Main Character
Surprisingly absent XD
He appeared only in the filler arc, and isn't going to in this project either.
BUT- I've always thought each of my arc has a different side character take the lead. For this one though, the spotlight is very well shared. For first arc, it was Chloe and Felix for the filler. I feel like it's self explanatory- Chloe had the best poems then full of yearning and went through the best development, while Felix changed significantly as a person as he learnt to love. It's going to be Gia for the next one! Can't reveal why just yet though

Side Characters
Gia- trying to set everything back to normal and failing terribly. She only wants to her her brother.
Felix- making his way through the real world but at least he gets to pursue music. The memory of Aiden still haunts him though, he just wants him back at his side in this difficult time.
Chloe- embracing her newfound acceptance by grandmother, though her mother's warnings seem to be pulling at her from the opposite side. She just wants to know the truth.
Andrew- balancing his academic life and the guilt that's eating at him. He investigates on his own, and seeks his mother for answers.
Irene- calls back the guy as a way of taking a chance. It seems to be going well, but something feels wrong. She's stepping out of her shell and just wants to find her place.
Mom- wants to pursue the career she missed out on, but misses her previous life. She wishes she could have them both.
Dad- making sense out of the broken pieces of his marriage, rediscovering himself.
