The International Space Station

The year 2050 marks the completion of the massive, state of the art International Space Station. Now, the testing procedures begin. The United Nations has chosen a group of people from all over the world to go up and live on the space station for a year, to make sure everything is functioning properly. Many of these volunteers are scientists and experts, while others are families of these people, and others still have been hired to take care of more day to day things (cooking, janitorial duties, handyman, etc). The group is flown up in January of 2050 and will not be brought back until one exact year has passed. During their time in space, they will be completing research that is meant to lead to building a colony on the moon. Excursions to the moon and back are often made by a small rocket type vehicle created around twenty years ago. You are one of these people on the ISS, eager and willing to spend a year of your life in space. Only, after spending some time on the space station, it becomes apparent that this ‘experiment’ is not just for peaceful scientific purposes. Everyone on the space station, and even everyone on Earth, may be in grave danger. Can those aboard the ISS stop the corrupt government program before disaster strikes? Characters You may play: A scientist/expert A government agent placed on board to monitor progress One of the hired employees (cook, janitor, handyman, etc) A family member of one of the above Stencil: Name: Age: Gender: Occupation on the ISS: Family with you: Appearance: Nationality: Personality: Likes/Dislikes: Strengths/Weaknesses: History: Up for love?: Other: Up to two characters per person Setting A massive space station, of course. It can generally be whatever we make of it in the story. It’s 2050, so technology is advanced. The only things to keep in mind are that there are: sleeping quarters of some sort, a kitchen/cafeteria, bathroom facilities, research labs, a type of lounge area, a nursery/day care for the young kids (if any were to accompany family members) Rules -All YWS rules -No god-modding -No sex scenes -Mild cursing is acceptable, but please keep it to a minimum -This is not a fantasy storybook, so no superpowers and such Welcome aboard.

Just so you guys know, Captain Porter can be controlled to do whatever by anyone. Obviously, keep him in character of the story. He's a sort of strict guy, but pleasant to everyone on board. He's pretty evil behind the facade though, as he's working with whatever evil plot is going down

"Hey Bekah," Alex appeared in the crowd of kids. "Need any help?"

Bekah yawned, nodding. "Yeah that'd be great."

She and Alex led the kids to the daycare, which was a pretty huge colorful room. There were toys, a big television, and even a bouncy castle. The kids took right to it, creating a tornado of giggles and motion.

Bekah sighed and fell into a beanbag chair. Alex lounged in one nearby. "So," Bekah said. "Your fathers one of the scientists?"
