Virgil sighed. He examined Patton, drawing some blood and such. "...True love's kiss. That's the only cure. You better hope he has someone he loves, otherwise I'm not sure if ...

And so they played for a long while, just as they had all those years ago. But, sooner or later, Patton blinked. He stumbled on his feet, eyes clouding. And ...

(Welcome back to late-night-angst with Ari and Azzy) "...Up for a round of catch?"

"Oh! Sure!" Patton smiled. The two of them walked to the field. He was glad that he'd get to do this with Janus one last time.

"Ow-!" That snapped him out of it. Patton looked up, rubbing his head.

"Huh... momma never told me that... um..." Patton was starting to feel a little dizzy, a little tired...

Patton sighed, hugging back. "I won't... wait-" He pulled back. "How did you know about the curse..?"

Hearing that panicked tone made Patton sigh and, reluctantly, come down. "Why..?"

Buuut it was too late. Patton giggled as he sat on a branch, swinging his legs happily. "Janus! Come join me!"

"...Pleaaase..? What if something exciting happens? Like old times?" Patton really just wanted to live his final days to the fullest.
