  • Novel / Chapter » Dramatic, Romantic Re: Trying Chapter 3.1

I like this! The sort of choppy, disjointed prose works very well to convey what Violet’s feeling, and the way the single-sentence paragraphs get more and more frequent toward the ...

  • Novel / Chapter » Other, Supernatural Re: A Twins Hunt - A Cold Night (The Prologue I forgot about...)

I think you’ve got a pretty solid opening. I like that you hold off on the supernatural reveal until the second paragraph—it packs more punch that way. And I LOVE ...

  • Novel / Chapter » Dramatic, Literature Re: The Love of a Sociopath Ch. 2

This is interesting, because I can’t actually tell what angle you’re going for with this story, the “decent thawing sociopath” one or the “abysmally foolish young woman throws herself into ...

Every time I’ve gotten feedback that was hard to take it was usually hard to take because there was truth in it and I didn’t like that (or didn’t want to receive it). That’s not to say all harsh feedback is good or that we should be harsh for harshness’ sake, but learning to absorb truth without letting it break your inner core/break you is a lifelong skill that keeps your mind elastic and open to learning.
