Roman’s smiled faded away.

“...Hiding from hunters...”

"Oh... I am so sorry... If it makes you feel better, I am a swordsman, and can keep you protected from threats. I can act as a... bodyguard, of sorts? If you'd like?"

Roman blinked.

“Y-You’d do that for me..? ...But don’t you have a home? If you became my bodyguard, you’d have to stay full-time...”

Logan looked down.

"I am the last in my bloodline alive. I wander through the woods in search of shelter each night because everyone else is d•ad..."

(Good grief, that’s like Revenge and Emile levels of sad backstory-)

Roman’s eyes softened with pity. He gently cupped Logan’s cheek, lifting it so he’d look at him.

“...You can stay here then... I’ve wanted company for a very long time.”

Logan's eyes shed a few t•ars. Even he wasn't sure the emotion associated with them.

"Thank you... I want your company as well..."

(it's okie, no need to apologize)

Roman just wrapped Logan into a big hug. It had been so long, too long, since he'd had someone care for him.

Logan hugged back. This was the first hug he had since his brother passed.

(ok)

--

Erin was walking around the mindscraps. He heard a small meow coming from a bit away. He walked over to the source of the noise.

A small, black kitten was hiding in a box that was laying on its side. It mewed softly, as if it were looking for someone, anyone.

Of course we can! I'm not about to say no to this adorable little guy!

He reaches down to pet the cat. It flinches, before letting Emile pet it.
