The battle within me,
Has no winner,
My thoughts will never be free,
For they are the prisoners of war.
The battle within me has torn me apart,
Left me laying in the dirt,
The shots taken at my heart,
Do more than just hurt.
The tears fall,
The heart breaks,
And there's nothing I can do at all,
But watch the hits it takes.
I lost the battle,
And I lost it all.
