Hey, so I am not super clear on what a forum is or what it is for, so if I could get that cleared up for me that would be great. And also is there anyway to create one or start one? Thanks. :D

Forums are what you post in, while threads are what you make (Forums can only be made by people with admin powers). You've made a thread, already, so there's step one!

The forums are used for a whole bunch of purposes, as outlined by the forum descriptions. For example, Ask an Expert is for getting research help for writing questions.
