Operation Happy Ending

She pressed on one of the buttons on her jacket. "So, have you seen anyone looking suspicious?"

"No?"

"Really? No one jumping to mind?"

"Three people dropped out the ceiling."

"Hello my name is Ray! I will be your kidnapper this evening! Kindly hold onto this gag and refrain from screaming during the kidnapping!"

"You couldn't have said that any better? You're supposed to be the smart one!" Arianna held out her hands. "We're trying to save you. You will die if you continue on your day as normal."

Vankous huffed. "Okay fine that's on me."

"How the hell did you make Ray say that?"

Ray groaned. "Lost a bet. A very foolish one."

"Okay, great. But explain it to Strawberry before we get a runner."

"Uhh sorry yes this is for your safety. We promise," Ray informed.

"Look, we have an informational briefing we can show you in the ship as soon as you're not in danger of being killed."

Kate dropped in. "We gotta goo. Almost too late!"

"Shoot. Uhhh." The woman grabbed Strawberry's hand. "Just hold on, okay?"

Strawberry groaned. "Whatever this is, get it over with."

Arianna grabbed Vankous' arm. "Beam us up, Scotty."
