i’ve seen a lot of ETL tropes out there where most of them are just the E, none of the L. so i wanted some different perspectives on the genre and what some examples are :)
i’ll go first: i think enemies-to-lovers can be AMAZING, if done “correctly” … or it can be abysmal, which is more common in my experience. other times it’s just “lovers” and not “enemies” and that’s okay : D
hey, darling, i’m Meilin. stay a while ? <3

Okay. So for enemies to lovers. It has to be enemies for almost all of the book. And in the last 5% they become lovers. But it can't be they immediately go to having s*x. Don't mind me saying this. And the guy can't be a total dushbag with a great girl. She had every right to hate him and keep hating him. The final images of the book should be earned love between the two. Sweet and you go, aww. I love this

Sea and Sky- both blue. Once, in proposal, Sea turned red. Sky's father- Sun forbade so she wept as rain, uniting the lovers in defiance.
