http://www.thebluepencil.net is a great site to submit your writing!
it is run by a special high school for arts and writing and if your work is chosen you can get published and get scholarships!
they accept verse, stories, plays, translations, sentences, editorials, and several other things.

ALSO
fun prompts to work on your skills are posted frequently on their facebook page
http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=4 ... 421&ref=ts

GOOD site for young writers!

I highly recommend!

There are those who say that life is like a book, with chapters for each event in your life and a limited number of pages on which you can spend your time. But I prefer to think that a book is like a life, particularly a good one, which is well to worth staying up all night to finish.
