I nod and kiss him quickly.

Nic

I kiss her back and sigh before turning back to Halee.

Jackie

I smile and wrap my arms around him.

Nic

I wrap my arms back around Jackie and kiss the top of her head, sighing with a smile.

Jackie

I smile at him and sigh.

I have no clue where to go from here. Dead tired and my mind is static.

Nic

I glance at Halee again and feel my stomach twist and tingle again, warmth filling my chest.

Jackie

I take a deep breath and lead him to the couch, "Let her sleep."

Nic

I nod and follow her, sitting down.

Jackie

I smile and sit on his lap, resting my head on his chest.

Nic

I smile back and wrap my arms around her, kissing the top of her head.

Jackie

I swallow and glance around, a bad feeling starting in my gut.

Nic

I study her, "What's wrong, Jacks?"

Jackie

I hear whispers around the house and my eyes land on Halee, "G-Get Hales."

Nic

I flash to the crib and scoop our little girl in my arms, flashing back to the couch and sitting close beside Jackie, "What's going on?"

Jackie

Hearing the whispers again, I glance around, "You...Y-You don't here that?"
