I shrug, "For being nice."

Elijah

I study her, "Nice isn't usually a word used to describe me."

Niki

I smile, "Then for being you."

Elijah

I smile and kiss her quickly in return.

Niki

I smile wider and blush.

Elijah

I match her smile and keep my eyes on her, finding it amusing and kind of cute she blushed.

Niki

I look down and fan girl inside, trying not to explode with excitement.

Elijah

I squeeze her hand and move closer, keeping an arm around her shoulders.

Niki

I smile wider, afraid to speak.

Elijah

I rest my temple against hers and lower my voice to a whisper, "Remember when I asked you if you knew what finding your mate felt like?"

Niki

I nod, "Yeah?"

Elijah

I close my eyes, "Do you think it's anything like this?"

Niki

I smile, "Hope so."

Elijah

I smile as well, "Me too."

I nod back, gazing into his eyes.
