Men of Iron by Howard Pyle was probably one of the most amazing older books (close to classic) I've ever read. The language is confusing at times, but the storyline is surprisingly good for the style of book. The knight seeking vengeance for his dead friend and family.

Oooh. I love books about knights. I shall certainly get myself a copy.
