Hmm… I don’t know what else to say, ha. It’s not easy trying to record something new every single damn day... it’s just not possible, not in this place…

(Silence.)

No, simply not possible.

And it’s not as if I remember much about my life, either. No, I don’t recall much. What you’ve just heard—listeners—well...

I don’t even remember how I got here…

(Take your time.)

Perhaps what I just said… might not even be true.

(End of recording 0-101.)

(Beginning of recording 0-182.)

Shit.

(Gasping. Clearly too much effort dude.)

Ah… just a moment. I shouldn’t have run so fast. It’s strange, how running tires you out… phew… yet I don’t feel sleepy at all. How silly.

There’s something new today. “Finally,” you might say. “It’s too boring listening to this old man talk,” or so the young ones say.

Well! There’s something new—though, come to think of it, I probably shouldn’t have run toward it.

There’s… there’s a gap in the sky. A gap in the sky, quite a ways to the… north—my north, yes. And a bit of light is coming through. Hmm…

I said “quite a ways,” but I’m getting closer now. I’d better stop running; I don’t want to get a cramp…

(Silence; only footsteps can be heard. It seems to be quite a long stretch.)

Oh god...

(Heavy, labored breathing.)

Oh god.

This… it’s beautiful, but…

Holy moly man...

Where am I?

(A dull thud followed by a metallic click; end of the final recording.)

Hello there, human! I'm reviewing using the YWS S'more Method today!

Shalt we commence with the macabre S’more?

Top Graham Cracker - This man is doing a recording on something odd that’s going on. A hole opened up in the sky and he ran straight towards it! Now where is he going to go?

Slightly Burnt Marshmallow - I have no recommendations to make as of right now, but if you would like to edit this, you may.

Chocolate Bar - I like that this narrator seems to know that what he’s doing is wrong, like running straight up to what looks like a threat and running so fast, but then he still does it anyway. It reminds me of how people in analog horror, like in movie horror, make poor decisions to get the plot going. The cover art is beautiful!

Closing Graham Cracker - Overall, a lovely short story! I’ll be certain to read other stories that connect to this so I can find out what this strange phenomenon is, but until then…

I wish you a fabulous day/night! ^v^

If I loved you less, I might be able to talk about it more.
