What was hidden
one look scars revealed
two looks emotions displayed
more was not needed to be see the cracks
that were in her
hidden beneath a layer
you should slowly peel it away
see what is beneath it
drink up those feelings
make them believe it
let them not see it
come one command those feelings
but you are weak
free her
steel them away
let the night lay its claim
let the tears stop raining
she is done falling

this is giving so much angst i love it hehe, so firstly i do want to mention i like the lines
"one look scars revealed /
two looks emotions displayed"
its kind of like noticing patterns? like for example its like unwrapping a present and finding clues to something.. if you know what i mean
"more was not needed to be see the cracks /
that were in her"
im guessing that these lines mean literally what they mean LOL, i think it's poetic and i like how it sounds when you say it out loud.
right right so i do want to mention that in the beginning of the poem it kind of seems like the poet talks about finally addressing and initiating to do something about any issue (most possibly emotions & an inner turmoil i suppose) but after the 4th line it sort of gets a bit hard to understand like for me cus i mean i interpret it as the poet asking to "try to understand the turmoil" and to "believe it" but then comes err "let them not see it" which then gives me an idea that perhaps it could be like contradictory thoughts?
um i think we could take this poem as the poet belittling someone for their emotions or something of that sort and asking them to "control" it but the poet eventually takes back what they ask (asking them to control it) cus they think they're too weak to do that?
i dont really know what to make of this poem but i think i like how confusing it is because that makes it nice (i like stuff like this okay not every poem needs to be understood)
overall, it's pretty good man i mean i kind of get the general theme but there are a few parts im a bit confused upon BUT i think it's pretty good cus being confused over a poem is nice, anyway, keep writing and have a gud day ♡
Welcome new pen pal this poem has a lot to uncover first I want to say I'm happy your here and I love to hear more poems! I love the pacing of the piece. the line where it said
I thought that was raw tragic energy mirrors the anxiety of hiding your pain. the ending feels dark but also gives us the feeling of a burden getting rip off our shoulders to finally be free
