I heard that the prettiest flowers wither by July
Standing in this sweltering summer, I wish it were a lie
If I'm a flower bloom penetrating through the mud
Then I'd most rather this burden be paid by blood
Seeing those petals drift down make my heart ache
Your spring died so suddenly, so unfairly, my dear
Know that I've promised to wait for your wake
And I hope that by then I'll have faced my fear.

This poem has a ton of vague references to me, so I'm challenging you guys to try to decode all of them-- I can't wait to see your interpretations!
Oops, sorry, it keeps posting my review as a comment even when i check the review boxes, so thats fine I'll leave it as that then
I love this! It's a very bittersweet poem. I really like the first two lines, just the meaning and how they flow is really beautiful. Despite how short the poem is, it tells a very nice story. It's sad, like someone has been lost, but there is also a sense of promise and determination. It's very beautiful!
Sorry, this was meant to be a review, so I've reposted it as one

Hey, aldokraas!
