Peeping through the branches,
Peering through the pine,
She smiles, laughs and prances --
Our clumsy sunshine.
She drops things and stumbles,
Forgets the dance routine;
She struts about and bumbles --
Our clumsy little queen.
She beams through the windowsills,
Churning delight from boredom;
She careens through sobs and chills,
Our clumsy quirky humdum.
She breathes kindness into the heart,
Filling the air with compassion;
She helps, she yelps, plays every part,
Our clumsy queen of passion.
Wherever she goes or whatever she does,
Grace and glee and whimsy entwine;
She is so kind and cute. Why? Well, 'cuz,
She's our clumsy little sunshine.

Poetry. Let’s go.

I like the first stanza. It feels very calm and relaxing, I kinda didn’t expect that (even if the title does imply something a little awkward and small-scale :3)
Oh are we talking about a person that while being a bit clumsy always brightens the mood of everyone around her with her sheer presence?
I feel the interpretation is a bit too straightforward but maybe this really is abt someone real? I like how you describe the positive effect she has, and how this makes all the little imperfection negligible, just a quirk of her character, nothing to linger on or get mad about. What she brings to the table is way more important than her being a bit clutzy :3
Especially the line of whimsy sticks with me. We all need a bit more whimsy in our lives <3

Hey there Tika, thanks a lot for the reviews! This poem and "Bathing in the Stars" are just tributes to my newfound university friends. They are indeed about real people, like you intuited, and they are all genuinely wonderful. 😁
Aww I'm so happy for you <3
First of all, great poem about a little clumsy cutie!!!
I wonder who this is about?
I really loved these parts:
Such a darling, whoever this is written about,
These parts really describe the little one's character, and it also reminds me of my little 3-year-old brother.
Wonderful , great poem overall
Love,
Queenie
Thanks for the praise, Queenie! She is indeed wonderful
