Dearest you, through me

In Poetry

I'm not able, I'm unable to grasp on thin air,
In the realm same as you.
Here, I spend my time like—
“Why would the roots search for ground?”
I asked, with hope to see the seed sprout out.

For I remember your last baby picture.
You remembered.

To you through me, I say, it ain't that thick.
To me through you, I think, you wrote in crimson.
Then there, if I take your strings to sew in the sky,
I'll bring blue berries to turn you into a pretty purple.
Don't look at me like a ghost, don't do.

Dear you, if I let myself weep, will you choose to—
Take me from cruelty and let me happen in memory?

Dear you, I say to the caterpillars, apples and gardeners— we don't go as far as we wish.
Dear you of everybody, dear pirates and queen.
All I know of you is that I love you.
Here, in here, nobody's crude, for each piece though you.

How much it makes me become your noon.

Dear you, I yearn too.
Though I'm late to confess, I yearn for you.

O! My apology.
O! My heart has been with the heart of yours.
Through me to you, please look outside your gate.
I wrote so you read, I stood so you see.
You, my dearest poetry.

Hello, I just finished reading your poem, and I absolutely adored it! Your writing is incredible, and I couldn’t stop imagining how fantastic it would look as a comic. I’m a professional commissioned artist, and I’d be thrilled to adapt your story into a comic format. No pressure, of course. I just think your work would shine in that medium. If you’re interested, feel free to reach out to me on Discord: discord:charlottemadison1997. Let me know your thoughts!
Best,
charlotte

In "Dearest you, through me," you pour your heart into a free-verse poem that feels less like structured writing and more like you're just letting your raw, late-night thoughts spill right onto the page. You capture that familiar, achy feeling of distance so well right from the start—“unable to grasp on thin air / In the realm same as you”. What makes your writing so charming is how you blend everyday casual phrasing with these quirky, dreamy visuals, like mixing crimson and blue berries to make a "pretty purple" or bringing in caterpillars and gardens to talk about life's limits. By the time you reach that honest, unguarded confession ("O! My heart has been with the heart of yours") and wrap it all up with calling the person "my dearest poetry," you've turned the whole piece into this tender, beautiful love letter where the person you're missing literally becomes the art.

Hi there! I'm reviewing using the YWS S'more Method today!

(GREETING & INTRODUCTION)

Top Graham Cracker - What I Know
I really like this poem.I think this poem is about the writer's love for poetry. At first, I thought the writer was talking to someone they loved, but the last line made me look at the whole poem differently. I understood that poetry can be more than just words on a page; it can be something we feel deeply connected to. The writer seems to express their love through colours, memories, and beautiful imagery. I also felt that they wanted their poetry to be seen and understood by others, just as we want the people we love to understand us.

Slightly Burnt Marshmallow - Room for Improvements
I have no suggestions

Chocolate Bar - Highlights of the Piece
I like this whole poem. But also my favorite line is

Then there, if I take your strings to sew in the sky,
I'll bring blue berries to turn you into a pretty purple.

idk why i like this but it stood out to me.and i also liked that repetition

Closing Graham Cracker - Closing Thoughts
Overall it was gorgeous poem it has that soft vibe to me. Keep writing! Thank ya for sharing.
