Late that night,
I saw the face in my mirror cry.
It was a face I have known forever,
yet it felt like a stranger I had never met.
I watched its dark brown eyes
turn red at the rims,
how its cheeks grew damp,
and its lips gave way
before the heavy drops could even fall.
I reached out
and placed my warm palm on its cheek.
I tried to brush the wetness
with my thumb—
But I realized
those were not its tears....

This is so beautiful... keep creating amazing stuff like this... I am so amazed I am using ...s. I love the way you are using details like, "dark brown eyes", "red at the rims" "cheeks grew damp", "lips gave away" and "heavy drops" really worked so well and stood out to me as such good describing words for crying.
Thank you so much. Check my other peoms too

this was a VERY nice poem. I quite enjoyed how the entire thing was seeing the face from a point of view other than yours. It was a great insight into the mind of the narrator.
This was a great opening in my opinion. After reading through @Rithika's amazing review, I think you cleaned up everything I would have commented on, so great job.
Overall, amazing poem. Your skills are getting better and better!
Thank you

It's feels like I'm reading it at midnight while it's raining no matter what's the time. It can settle a person to it's own orbit.
