In My Poetry

Darling, I just need you to hold my trembling hands—
the ones that have been longing to hold yours.
Is it too much?
I just need you to look into my glassy eyes—
the ones desperate to meet yours.
Is it too much?
I just need you to press your lips softly to mine,
a touch of soft honey
and whisper, "I love you, too."
Is it too much?
I just need you to wrap your arms around my waist
and pull me close.
Is it too much?
I don't need the whole world.
I just want you to love me back.
Is it too much to ask??

He began to wonder why he had felt uneasy at all. It was like a man wondering in broad daylight why a dream had appeared so terrible to him at night.
